| Old World Charm / Celebration of Lights. Trying to decide which holiday celebration to attend this year? Bandon is celebrating its’ 27th Celebration of Lights, with a new/old twist. Dec 5, Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive by boat and decorate a tree with the children in the Port of Bandon picnic shelter. Later, they are invited to settle in with Mrs. Claus while she reads her favorite Christmas stories. After visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, continue enjoying the many festivities of over 70 merchants in Bandon’s Old Town; holiday classes (for kids of all ages), demonstrations and wine tasting. Singing minstrels and musicians and “fairy-tale characters” will add to the seasonal merriment. At dusk children will participate in the Holiday Lantern Parade and will be welcomed with bells ringing, lights, music and the Christmas Angel as they enter Old Town to “open the Christmas season.” | |
